AutoCross Vereniging ‘EZHACO’ uit Zevenhuizen is opgericht in april 1974 te Zevenhuizen en bestaat dus 50 jaar.
Onze doelstelling is het organiseren van snelheidswedstrijden met auto’s op een onverharde baan (een weiland of een akkerbouwland). Onze vereniging telt op dit moment ongeveer 130 rijdende leden en een groot aantal vrijwilligers. Wij proberen als vereniging ieder jaar minimaal 6 wedstrijden te organiseren in onze regio. Daarnaast neemt een deel van onze leden ook deel aan de wedstrijden voor het Nederlands Kampioenschap Autocross. Zij doen dit niet geheel onverdienstelijk. Meerdere malen mochten we binnen onze vereniging zelfs een Nederlands Kampioen huldigen!
Onze vereniging is aangesloten bij de KNAF (Knac Nationale Autosport Federatie). De KNAC is de enige overkoepelende autosportorganisatie in Nederland, die erkend is door NOC*NSF, het Ministerie van VWS en de wereld overkoepelende bond voor de auto- en kartsport, de FIA.
De Sectie Autocross is binnen de KNAF één van de grootste secties. Om aan onze wedstrijden te mogen deelnemen dienen de rijders in het bezit te zijn van een door de KNAF afgegeven rijderslicentie. Één van de onderdelen voor het verkrijgen van deze licentie is een medisch onderzoek. Het hebben van deze licentie betekent ook dat de licentiehouder op een deugdelijke manier is verzekerd tegen persoonlijke ongevallen tijdens deelname aan wedstrijden, welke door een bij de KNAF aangesloten vereniging wordt georganiseerd. Ook als vereniging zijn wij verplicht om onze evenementen te verzekeren. Naast deze verzekering ontvangen wij van de KNAF een zgn. organisatielicentie. Deze licentie hebben wij nodig voor het verkrijgen van onze vergunningen bij de diverse gemeenten. Ook onze vrijwilligers (officials) zijn in het bezit van een (Official) licentie. Jaarlijks wordt er door de KNAF het Auto Sport Jaarboek uitgegeven waarin alle reglementen met betrekking tot de landelijke veiligheids- en milieu-eisen zijn opgenomen.
Gezelligheid, saamhorigheid en sportiviteit staan bij onze club “EZHACO” hoog in het vaandel, maar ook strijdlust en het willen winnen! Het is toch mooi om aan het einde van de dag met een beker naar huis te kunnen gaan? Een groot probleem voor onze vereniging is het vinden van een geschikt stuk terrein voor het organiseren van autocrosswedstrijden. Als wij een stuk land vinden hebben wij natuurlijk rekening te houden met de omgeving en het milieu. In de Randstad wordt de ruimte door de vele bebouwing steeds schaarser en het Veenweidegebied is qua ondergrond niet geschikt om op te crossen. Wij prijzen ons dan ook heel gelukkig met de landeigenaren die ons elk jaar weer een stuk land beschikbaar stellen!
Aanvang van de wedstrijden is (bijna altijd) 11.30 uur, een duurt tot ongeveer 18.00 uur. Binnen onze vereniging wordt er in 7 verschillende klassen gestreden om de punten voor het clubkampioenschap:
– Mini Buggy klasse
– Junior klasse
– Standaard 2000cc KNAF klasse
– Standaard 2000cc Rang-Pang klasse
– Super Standaard klasse
– Kever klasse – Sprint klasse (tot 2000cc)
Overigens zijn ook toerwagens en superklasse auto’s bij ons welkom!

A few days back, he shared with me that his startup was currently in the midst of redesigning their website. At first, I wasn’t too surprised. After all, brands redesign their websites constantly. But, when he told me the price he was paying for the redesign… my jaw dropped.
